What movie makes you cry?

Grampa also had "dish night", a talent show every week, towel giveaways, food prizes, drawings, sing-alongs, live acts, etc. It wasn't just going to see a movie, it was a social occasion.

And it was a bold move in racial equality, too, as his theaters and handbills said "Colored people always welcome"...the first theater that advertised that in a city that was considered the "northern capitol" of the Klan.
When the Bee Gees were little boys they saw some kid at the movies lip-sync to a record on talent day. So the next week they set off to the movies with their record, fooled around and broke the record, decided to sing the song anyway and brought down the house. Little stars were born!

I remember him telling me about a traveling "Indian Show" that came to town and appeared at his theater. They danced, sang and the women sold handmade moccasins and bags in the lobby. I still have a pair of baby mocs and one adult moc that my grandmother gave to me.

I'm just surprised he didn't bring the circus with him when he left.
