What music is your state known for

I'm at the center of bluegrass, but it's not first rate because everyone owns a banjo, and the excellent players move out of state and join with heavy metal and blues groups, where a little top quality blue grass adds to the mix of variety to entertain the city folk. But a constant stream of bluegrass gets pretty redundant.

Jazz, Rock and Philly Soul.

Pennsylvania has produced some of the biggest and most influential names in music. Billie Holiday, Bill Haley & His Comets, Patti LaBelle, Hall & Oates, The Roots, Christina Aguilera, P!nk, and many more – Pennsylvania’s contributions to America’s musical heritage is incalculable.

Massachusetts produced James Taylor, Aerosmith, Donna Summer, J. Geils Band, Boston, Pixies, The Cars, Dropkick Murphys, New Kids on the Block, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones (from Bosston no doubt)
