What occupation couldn't they pay you enough to do?

My whole life I've never taken a job where if I have a bad day, someone gets hurt or dies.

First responders, fire, police, doctor,...etc. Not for me even if I had the schooling. I worked for a shipping company for many years. The worst case scenario on a bad day would be a missorted parcel or letter.

I have too many outside-of-work interests to be fully "on" and committed to a job where I'd always have to bring my 'A' game.

I finished studying to become an EMT and hoped to go on to paramedics. I really wanted that job, and I think I'd have been good at it, but I had to move my family and I switched my focus.

Emergency Medical Technician

I think you would have also been good at that type of job. You've always been 'cooler than the other side of the pillow'...at least on this forum in my opinion.
I never panic. And it's not because I have a heart of stone, I just use the adrenaline for decision-making and whatever's needed. And it's interesting (to me) that my baby sister panics over virtually everything. And immediately, too; like, that's her first response to anything unusual. It's crazy.

A teacher.

I had a friend that was a High school chemistry teacher. One day a mother came with her lawyer, YES her lawyer.
She wanted to know what he ( the teacher) was going to due to make sure her son passed his class.
Her son was a senior and needed to pass his class in order to graduate.
He told her..." I gave an open book test, your son got a 27 on the test". He then proceeded to tell her ...I can not open your son's head and pour the information into it. He has to do the work. You know.... homework, class work, pass tests, etc. I cannot pass your son, as it would not be fair to the rest of the class that studied, participated in class, did the work. What do you do at home to make sure he is doing the what he needs to do to pass?? The lawyer looked at the mother and said " no case here". And they walked out.

Pumping septic tanks. I can handle about anything else
But most companies like Job Johhny & Porta Potty allow employees to keep any money that may fall into those toilets. Best to use a metal detector device though than to use rubber gloves to sort thru the waste.;)

For enough money I'd do pretty much any legal job.... but it would have to pay well enough that I could get rich quickly and not do the job for long.
All of the sanitary sewage ends up in the same place. There are people who have to deal with that shit every day.
I believe the technical term is turd herder...
