What songs may mean to you 🤔

Yes, This song is special to me, only my Grandpa would sing this just to me, no one else dared try.
But this song is not where I got my username from, there is another Irish Eyes.

This is a newer one that really describes me pretty well and really close to how my family describes me.

I love both, I may nip over the water to the Emerald Isle next month to visit an elderly (older than me) relative, and while there, I'll nip along and see my Leprechaun mate and stock up on invisibility pills. 😊

Have a lovely time and you have enough Blarney so don't be kissing that stone this time. :ROFLMAO:

After my wife of 30years passed away, I threw myself into traveling. I had been to all 24 time zones and all 7 continents. Life is funny, because when I got back, I met a lady who was also widowed.
The lyrics from Southern Cross really touched me.

I have been around the world
Looking for that woman-girl
Who knows love can endure
And you know it will

And she only lived 40 miles away. Tomorrow will be the 20th anniversary of the first time we met. A year and a half later, we were married on the
Island of Santorini

Forgive me if I chose wrong Tim
Out of the choices I saw I think this may be his style, take a chance here.
Sharon, I love this girl doing this super song, but I posted Billy Eckstein's version.... both lovely. 😊

Sarah Vaughan did a beautiful version too. 😊

My husband and I met online back when there was just typed chatrooms: Commodore 64 style.
We played music games where we'd type a lyric or two and the other had to guess the song.
Months and months later we chose to meet and when this song came out he designated it as Our Song.

I admit to the bad habit of not understanding to some degree the lyrics of many popular Classic Rock songs that I like, and rather as a dancer, tend to ignore lyrics that are not obvious, and hijack many songs merely for instrumental power. Am also aware that many other people place a lot more value on song lyrics, that is fine. I also have never done karaoke though for a small person have a loud voice and would have moved in that direction following in steps of Morrison and Dio had I not greatly injured my body at age 21 by my own fault.

In 1967, I came of adult age and The Doors original album has always been my favorite with its classic Light My Fire. The special reverb sound they produced per below, creates a subtle most heavy auditory experience with good acoustics, something that has been lost by the music industry since.

Google AI overview:
The Doors’ signature studio sound was heavily defined by the physical echo chambers at Sunset Sound Studios in Hollywood, where they recorded their landmark self-titled debut. Producer Paul A. Rothchild and engineer Bruce Botnick used these chambers—specifically the famous Studio One—to heavily drench Jim Morrison's vocals, giving the band their haunting, reverb-heavy tone.

The Crystal Ship

Before you slip into unconsciousness
I'd like to have another kiss
Another flashing chance at bliss
Another kiss, another kiss
The days are bright and filled with pain
Enclose me in your gentle rain
The time you ran was too insane
We'll meet again, we'll meet again
Oh, tell me where your freedom lies
The streets are fields that never die
Deliver me from reasons why
You'd rather cry, I'd rather fly
The crystal ship is being filled
A thousand girls, a thousand thrills

A million ways to spend your time
When we get back, I'll drop a line
