What Time Do You Go To Bed To Sleep?

Seems like the older I become the earlier I go to bed. Before I retired I was up watching the Late Show on TV before going to bed and then up by 6 AM. Now, staying up beyond 9 PM takes real effort. I used to love reading in bed but not any more.

I go to bed between 8pm and 10pm sleep for 5 or 6 hours and am up until my afternoon nap, in total I sleep 8-9 hours per day.

Sometimes I turn in early out of boredom, my dreams are more exciting than prime time television, LOL!

8:30 ish for me now. I pvr or watch some of the later shows on telly during dinner time. Then I am free to sleep earlier. Of course on the downside, I get up way to early.

I seem to be with the masses here. Before I retired I was usually in bed by 9:30 or so. I find now, staying up past 10PM is hard. I try hard to keep my sleeping to the night time, and not nap during the day.

We are done with dinner around 6:30. Head for the shower and can't wait to get in my PJ's,heaven forbid the doorbell should ring, but I chance it. Then off to my recliner in which I promptly fall asleep until about 8:30. Watch TV until about 10:00. Go to bed and usually read past 2AM which is my downfall. Get up about 9AM and complain to the hubby that I can't fall asleep at night. I wonder why.lol

Now PJs is another matter. I don't go to bed till after 1.30 am but I have my PJ's on hours before then, actually I will share a secret. I don't sleep in anything. PJs are for popping on in the morning when I get up until I get dressed and for putting back on for relaxing in before I go to bed. I pair a day and today I have not even taken them off, cleaning day is much easier in flannel, and not as hot as sweats. LOl

Lark married to a night owl here. Farm life is the epitome of the "Early to bed, early to rise..." philosophy, and I pretty much was expected to get up as soon as it got light (chores before the school bus arrived) and go to bed when it got dark (after homework was done so I could watch a little TV).

Those habits have remained ingrained for life, so I continue to feel sleepy right after dinner and usually hit the sack by 9 at the latest, to rise about 5 as the sun comes up. Hubby would stay up all night and sleep all day if he could get away with it, but he sorta follows my schedule to keep the peace. (We joke that we've remained married for 40 years because he's too tired to argue with me.)

Yes Jeannine, I know what you mean about flannel. I just about die from the heat in sweats. These days,if you wear them around the house during the day they call them leisure pants instead of PJ's. Same thing, but removes all the guilt of not taking your PJs off.
