long story::::::::My last drivers license was issued in florida 12 years ago. It was good for 8 years.I moved to montana and never returned to florida. I went thru a honda, subaru, toyota, explorer and another honda, in that time frame.A friend gave me a toyota, it has electric everything, passenger side window mechanism is broken so the window is jammed up with shims.
the car had fuel problems which i fixed, so it does run, it still has distributor, coil o2 sensor etc problems. I have no spare for it. I have kept it running as I am rather loathe to be without a car but there is a city transit I can use. Now the drivers side window mechanism has failed and the window has fallen all the way down into the door. I do not have the energy or o2 to fix it. I have no valid drivers license so I cannot insure the care although I can license it. In my estate plan it is listed as donation to a local lawyer who has legal guardianship in my death.
I may live another 5 years,or die tomorrow but the car will still sit there. Do I donate it now? Do I give it away? Do I junk it.

You may wish to donate it to a charity .. google charities in your area :)

If they junk the car, the money for the parts/scrap goes to the charity.

Make sure to remove license plates before they take the car away.

I'm wondering the same thing .... regarding my three motorcycles. I am not on-line savy enough to 'sell' them . There is an on-line site, that makes 'offers' on description / mileage. I'll likely contact them, as I do not feel like haggeling with a bunch of folks that want to 'steal' them anyway.

Like has been suggested here ..... I may donate them ?

Most places I have lived, all rural homes, but the town's Fire Departments loved donations of old cars or trucks which they can practise saving people in accidents and etc... Or scrap it... here they will give up to $500... I junked Lorie's old Trail Blazer, after ripping parts off it for 2 of my Buddies who also have the Trail Blazers... Called them, and they gave us $300 for it... It was 3 nights of going out for dinner...

i do have the title and it is all signed and notorized.. i had a quote from clunker junker and i may take it..
