I have been fortunate throughout my life to have had the best of friends.....we all share Honesty...never afraid to tell one another the truth about anything ,,a sense of humour of course and most of all a diminished sense of ego.....then on a very dreary evening while roaming the internet I was fortunate to have found SF ...you people came into my life at the best of times....you are great...(at this point I expect all of you to be blushing):):) tell us about your best friends...

My friends and I enjoy comedy, jokes, etc. Also, we love good food together, cooking and discussions about current events. Easy on the current events, however.

Sadly, due to covid and also the weather, we don't get together much anymore. We're all afraid of slippery roads!
Covid has unfortunately kept many of us apart from our friends, but I share living quarters with my daughter who happens to be my friend when I ease up on the mother part..this site has allowed me to resort to my humorous side :)

I really can think of only 2 people that are my best friends.

My partner of 30 years is my best friend. We are both fairly reserved, have a similar warped sense of humor, love animals and love discussing current events, even if we don't always agree.

My other best friend is a woman who worked for me for many years. She is divorced and she has always felt comfortable sharing her innermost secrets with me. I have shared many of mine with her as well. We were both "retired" due to Covid but we touch base at least once a month. She is just dear to me. We were scheduled to travel together this week but snow and ice in Dallas put a damper on that.

I'm very selective in who I consider best friends. There are other friends who I deeply care about and keep in touch with but they aren't BFFs.

Well first thought goes to a lady that was my Yoga / fitness leader, turned business partner. Of course platonic, but the only woman besides my wife that I could comfortably and publicly say "I love you" to. She has since completed her master's in clinical psychology and relocated out of state to pursue employment in the field of trauma counseling. We are sooo on the same "wave-length" educationally, philosophically, politically and religiously. We both regard Christianity and Buddhism to be important with their respective messages for living well.
