What TV program do you watch because it comforts you?

I watch MASH every night. Reruns. A channel carries four back to back episodes every night but Saturday. I've seen all the episodes. The program comforts me because it is familiar and sort of rounds out my day. I am usually tired at this time and it is nice just to have some familiar company rather than something I have to strain to follow or understand. Do you have any things you watch or listen to for the same reason?

I love to watch Frasier. It's a show about Frasier and his family and it's a real hoot! He has so many adventures and so do the rest of his family and characters. I don't have family around where I live anymore so it's comforting to watch another family who happen to be so funny too.

I realize that a lot of Canadians despise it, and I assume that many find it embarrassing or something. But I like Corner Gas and even Corner Gas: Animated which was a way to extend the sitcom after state funding dried up.

Old shows, comedies, like All In The Family would soothe me, but I never think to watch when I'm in a "mood." Maybe this thread will help me remember to do this; check out shows I know will lighten my "mood."

The Sopranos.
8-)
It's not everybody's cuppa cappuccino but it's mine.

La famiglia.

Mad About You. CBS daytime soaps (not the current ones). Presently it is Dynasty. I also had gone through all the Phil Donahue shows. I think it takes me back to a happier time when I used to watch them. I love all those old black and white movies and television shows too. Thankful they are available to watch anytime I want.

Bonanza, when I want to remember my youth.
It was our families go to show on Sunday Nights after Church.
As I've noted before here, somethings never changed no matter where we moved.
Libraries, Movie Theatres and Comfort TV shows.

I even ordered some 'Jiffy Pop' to shake on the stove top and now watching is complete...

I've kind of "worn out" a lot of my comfort shows. I need some time but I'll probably enjoy Monk and Psych again. Eventually I may crack open my Smallville boxed set again too.

There are many others that might qualify, except they got canceled after a season or two so I "burned out" on them for comfort a while ago. I get though them too fast and too many times.

I got bit by a rattlesnake when I was a kid in Florida. I sit and watch this stunning young Australian woman, named Jess, handle all types of snakes and lizards with no problem at all. Just pick them up, and drop them into her blue cloth bag.

OMG.

I love love love an old 70's sitcom from the UK, and watch it every now and again for "comfort viewing". It's dumb, silly, and includes sexual stereotypes, but for me it represents simpler times when people weren't so judgemental about everything.

T-Shirt I seen.....
I pay $100 a month for satellite and150 channels,
And here I sit watching Andy Griffith reruns.
That's why I cancelled my satellite and started streaming. So much more to see, doesn't go out when it rains and is so much cheaper. I already paid for or donated to Netflix and PBS. I can stream both now at no extra cost.

I recently started watching reruns of the Match Game game show from the mid to late '70's. I feel kind of silly watching a 50 year old game show, but I watched it as a kid when it originally aired and it makes me feel good.
Ohhh it's not silly at all! I got into this awhile back when it was free on Amazon and I loved it, even more so as an adult as when I was a kid, especially Brett and Charles! And PlutoTV (a free streaming app) has a 24/7 The Price Is Right: The Barker Years that I can put on for hours in the background, it's so fun and comforting.

Awhile ago I was hooked on reruns of Little House On The Prairie. I watched them daily.
