What type of purse/handbag do you use?

My daughter gave me a beautiful fuchsia Tumi crossbody type of sling-bag. I usually wear it slung across my body so that it is towards the back; but it can also be turned around so that instead of being like a backpack, it is worn across my chest . When I am traveling, and need to easily get to my ID , or whatever else I need, then I wear it across my chest.
I really like this better than any other purse or handbag that I have ever had, because it is pretty, functional, and flexible to wear in different ways.
This picture is not it exactly, but very similar.

I prefer the large, heavy kind that hurt when they hit you....

In fall and winter, I carry a black Prada satchel bag with a shoulder strap which I love to death. I carry sunglasses, reading glasses, phone, lipstick & concealer, tissues, gloves, and a purse mirror. I have a lot of other colors of bags for spring and summer - fun time, mostly in pastel colors or whites.

Cross body only. Have 2, but too lazy to switch. Safer than shoulder or clutch type, harder for someone to steal, keeps both my arms & hands free.

I have a medium size shoulder bag with many pockets for every day use. When we go on vacation I have a huge dark red one. My hubby calls it big red.
I could keep a blow up mattress in there if necessary. When traveling it can carry out water bottles, a snack for lunch, and all the stuff the hubby doesn't want to carry.
If I really want my hands free for walking or an occasional trip to a casino I use a belly bag. I don't see them much anymore but it keeps things handy right in front of me and safe.

I'm a man and I have a sling bag with everyday carry items like a multi tool, FAK, a few nutrition bars, spare glasses, quantity of cash, compact rain poncho and a few other items that might come in handy.

@Repondering What's a FAK? I googled it, thinking I could find the answer myself. This is what I got. I don't think this is what you mean. 😂
FAK is a protein of 125 kD recruited as a participant in focal adhesion dynamics between cells, and has a role in motility and cell survival. FAK is a highly conserved, non-receptor tyrosine kinase originally identified as a substrate for the oncogene protein tyrosine kinase v-src.

FAK is shorthand for First Aid Kit.

I have begun leaving my purse at home more often! I have a large wallet that I tuck that under my arm or in my knitting bag.

Interesting note - The retirement community, where my father lives, has a bar next to the dining room. They used to offer regularly sized wine glasses if you brought down your own bottle. Now, they have HUGE ones - too big to fit in a handbag, we observed. Apparently, the smaller glasses used to regularly disappear!!

I never use a handbag on a daily basis. I go casual and everything fits in my pant pockets. I have one small shoulder bag and one dress purse from waaay back in the day that's collecting dust in the bedroom closet.
