What was the first record album you owned?

I'm almost embarrassed to say this but I think it was Johnny Horton's Sink The Bismark. I still like those songs whenever I happen to hear them. But don't tell anyone please.
 

I can't remember the first album for sure, but it would have been an Elvis one.

I can remember the very first record though it was a 45 - Purple People Eater and on the flip side was Monster Mash.

Albums cost almost as much as a week's wage back then. I can certainly remember that! I actually used to pay them off. My first weekly wage was six guineas. That's 6 pound 6 shillings in the 'old money'.
