What Was the Last Movie You Watched?

I personally don't believe that there are. There may be local enclaves in a few places in the U.S. where those types of relationships exist. But even in those-- one-third? Nah.
Sorry to disappoint, but in my circle I know numerous Millennials in Asian-White marriages (including my son & DIL), three Black-White marriages, a Black-Pacific Islander marriage, and far too many Hispanic/Latino/Indigenous marriages/relationships with Whites, Blacks and Asians to tally. Then there are the 3 lesbian and 2 gay marriages, though they'd technically be the opposite of mixed.

This is as of 2017. The percentages have undoubtedly increased over the past 7 years:
Key facts about race and marriage, 50 years after Loving v. Virginia

YMMV in the Dixie Riviera.

My Hubby and I are White and Filipino. His sister's boyfriend is White. His brother's partner is a White Cuban. We have really good friends on the West Coast who are Asian (Macanese)/White. They introduced us to another couple who are White/Asian (Japanese). There is actually a Facebook group for White/Asian gay couples because there are so many.

We have gay neighbors who are White/Hispanic and White/Black. We have straight Millennial neighbors who are Black/White. I personally know lots of mixed couples. I think it's just become so common that very few notice anymore.

My nephew is in a gay Asian-White marriage. I didn't even think to count him in my post above.

I watched the movie Master Gardener on Kanopy this evening by Paul Schrader, who also did Taxi Driver way back in the '70s. Remember that one, with Robert De Niro?

It's rated 6.2 on IMDB. I'd give it a 7.2. The characters were interesting.

Yes, I enjoyed Master Gardener (2022), chiefly because of the acting by Joel Edgerton, who played the gardener. It was an offbeat story with a nice part for Sigourney Weaver. When, back in May, we watched the Dark Matter (2024) series, it kept gnawing on me who the male lead was. Turns out it was Joel Edgerton. I liked his role better in "Gardener".

I'll guess that you live in either Austin or Houston.
I think some of the above posters are closet Gen Z-ers...😄

I wish you were speaking of me, but alas, 'tis not my reality. I recently turned the rather jaw-dropping age of 72! Of course, that explains why I know so many Millennials. That's the age group of my children, nieces, nephews, and many of their friends.

Yeah, I was trying to place where I'd seen him before. He was Zero Dark 30, which may be where. I've never seen Dark Matter.

Last night I watched Everything Everywhere All at Once.

I thought it was meh, but perhaps I wasn't its target audience because karate moves and other violence leaves me cold. As does CGI.

Loved seeing Jamie Lee Curtis though.

I think it would help being 18 years old and having consumed a half gallon of strong coffee to keep up with all the action...😄 The movie was way to frenetic for my taste. I"m a JL Curtis fan as well. My favorite film of hers? True Lies (1994).

Loved her in True Lies and Trading Places. She's also a very practical, down to earth woman who's open and honest about life and the ravages of age. There are far too few like her in the movie/tv industry.

Split Second - 1953

I admit I'm a Film Noir junky and trying to get around to as many as I can.
Daunting task; so many and so little time.

The movie itself was OK, decent acting and writing for the time.
Went ahead and downloaded it, added it to my collection.

On a side note: Wife and son not really into Film Noir, so not sure why I collect them.
I do go back and watch full or parts of my movies in the collection.

Ah, the search goes on...
