What Was the Last Movie You Watched?

The Man from Earth is an interesting movie, rated 7.8/10 on IMDB and is free on Tubi.
"An impromptu goodbye party for Professor John Oldman becomes a mysterious interrogation
after the retiring scholar reveals to his colleagues he has a longer and stranger past than they can imagine."
I watched this a couple of years ago and really enjoyed. There's a sequel but captions not available and i need them. I should check again because maybe they have them now.

"The Wicker Man" (1973).
In my opinion this is one of the strangest if not even weirdest movies I've watched. It was shot entirely in Scotland. Christopher Lee rated it his best film and praised the movie highly. If you'd like to have a look at some of the scenes, here it is:

Christopher Lee on the movie:

Documentary "The Wicker Man Enigma"

This sounds intriguing....I'll check it out!

We were surfing our ROKU, looking for something free to watch. Came across a movie called Alien Code. Neither of us had heard of it.....both of us enjoyed it!

Basically, if you like 'time' stories, combined with conspiracy and intrigue...this might be for you.

Currently going through the Star Wars movies (again)

Last week I watched the last three...
  • Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens (2015)
  • Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (2017)
  • Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker (2019)

I've just watched the first one (in the timeline)
  • Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999)

I just watched the series "Between Lands" on Netflix.
I loved it. Very nicely acted. It is in Spanish with subtitles in English. Difficult to follow at times because they speak very fast, so you have to be a quick reader, but well worth your time!

Roadhouse won’t win any awards for acting. It certainly was violent Conor McGregor is vicious. I watched this because I’d just heard Jake Gyllenhaal talking about it on a podcast.

We watched Late Night with the Devil (2023; 1 hr., 33 min.; watched it on AMC+); the acting was really good and I think the movie made a good point about
the price paid for success
; but the whole movie was just so-so. And warning: it was weird.

This month I've watched, "Four Daughters," 1938 "Four Wives."1939 and "Four Mothers"1941 all starring the singing Lane sisters, although they aren't really musicals, just family melodramas. The first one was remade later with Doris Day and Frank Sinatra in the leads, called, "Young At Heart."

On Tubi, I found an old 4 part mini-series called, "Anna of Five Towns." Set in Staffordshire, England in the late 19th century. I just loved it.

I'm still waiting for somebody to make a movie scary enough for me....but as for the last film I watched it probably was an oldie as all new films are too PC for me. Just finished The Borgias....great series....and might watch Dangerous Liasons (Glen Close one).

Rebel Moon, Part 2: The Scargiver on Netflix. The good…great special effects, on a par with Star Wars. The bad…less than memorable characterization, poor dialogue, and highly derivative of such movies as The Magnificent Seven. We’ve seen stuff like this before, but still worth a watch if you enjoy space opera and familiar themes…

You need to watch [⬤REC] which is Spanish and subtitled, but very good for scaring the crap out of you. The first sequel might be even better, building on the first.
