This is the second time watching this movie and it was just as good as the first time I watched it. So glad it wasn’t a true story. I cried when it ended. Once he fell in love with Emily, there was no going back.

I saw this in the movie theater with my husband. At the end of the movie I was like WOW!!! This is one I would definitely see again.

I watched was Cat. 8, a two part made for TV movie. It held my interest.

 

Godzilla Minus One! Yesterday, with my son & grandson. On Netflix, I believe it was. My son makes great popcorn! Back to the movie, I see it as kind of a prequel to my first Godzilla released in the US in 1956, which I saw with my grandma. The movie was engaging, it was fun, it had human dramas woved in; human redemption, love, hope for a better future.

I LOVED IT, LOVED IT! Great with popcorn! We watched the English dubbed version, there is one!
 
Bone Tomahawk on Netflix falls into that strange and rare category of films that we might call horrific westerns. Kurt Russell leads the strong cast and the film is well-acted, but as to the story line and subject matter, ugh! It seems that several members of a town have been kidnapped by what are called troglodytes, a degraded group of Indians who live in caves and practice cannibalism. Kurt Russell leads a small posse of four men who attempt to rescue their townsfolk and kin, but all circumstances conspire against them. Warning: extremely graphic and disgusting content! Not recommended for most viewers! I’m a fan of both horror and westerns, but I would not want to see this film again, for it is objectionable and nightmare fuel… 🙀

Thanks for the headsup; we were considering watching this but will pass. (I love this site for the good advice! 🙂 )
 
After I finished installing our new water heater, my youngest treated us to a movie.
It was our first experience at a 4DX theater where the seats roll, buck, shake and spray
you with water (if you want, you can turn off the spray).

We saw the new movie 'Twisters' and I was really impressed with the seating effects.
It was perfectly timed to what was on the screen.

The movie was pretty good too.
 
Love Lies Bleeding.

I was expecting some low budget expolitation B movie with no name actors. But I was in the mood for some mindless guilty pleasure so I started watching it. I was well into it before I realized that two of the main characters were being played by Kristin Stewart and Ed Harris. It was not what I expected. This one is destined to become a Cult Classic! What a trip!

I watched my DVD of "Fahrenheit 451". I could watch it over and over again. During the Covid Plandemic I read the three most famous dystopian novels "1984", "Brave New World" and "Fahrenheit 451" again and was astonished how prophetic they were.
 
I watched "The Razor's Edge," yesterday. I love all the films based on W. Somerset Maugham's books. This one is a new favorite.

I had watched it before and found it a little tedious -- it's 2 & 1/2 hours long, but this time I relaxed into it and understood it better. Tyrone Power and Gene Tierney are beautiful to look at and their love story dominates the first half, but the protagonist's search for meaning in his life is the real story and well worth watching.
