What Was the Last Movie You Watched?

I believe it's just "Punch Drunk Love." I watched it once when it came out. It did receive some critical acclaim, but I thought it was probably the most stupid film I had ever seen. And I'm not using the word "stupid" for lack of some better word. I thought it was just plain stupid, too stupid to even pass as humor.
 

I finally watched Oppenheimer last week. At three hours long, I refuse to watch it a movie theater since there are no breaks. Didn’t theaters usually have a break anywhere from 1/2 to 3/4 through a long movie? Or is my memory going bad faster than I thought. Anyway, I watched it at home via an old fashioned DVD player. Several times I stopped the movie at a sensible point, got another cup of coffee, cut out another chunk of brownie from the pan, used the bathroom and returned to my seat. No rush, No fuss. And best of all none of those awful, annoying commercials and previews the theaters force upon us.

I tried to watch it but my subscription to Netflix was the cheapest one. Netflix wanted me to upgrade to a no-commercials subscription to see the movie. $10 more. No way. I remember when the head of Netflix said there would never be commercials on the service. That seems to be long gone. Now not only do we have to pay to not see the commercials, but we have to also pay to see certain movies.

It’s just greed, IMO. Greed on the part of the producers, directors actors studios, and the streaming services. They can keep their movie and I will keep my money. Better yet I will spend that money enjoying life with an attractive woman. Reality beats fiction any day of the week.

I've been a fan of his since the original Tremors movie.

After watching this movie and part of season one of "The Closer" I'm also a fan of his wife Kyra Sedgwick. Before I only had heard her name and knew nothing about her. I didn't even know she was married to Bacon. But she's a trip. :D

I agree with you about the greed. But I paid the extra $10 bucks anyway. But I'm not happy about it. :(
 
I watched Judgment At Nuremberg. I was almost sorry to have watched this again, as they showed the very same films I had to watch when I was in Officers Indoctrination in the Air Force. These films were about all the Nazi death camps, and of course, we had to see so much more that the public will never see. All medical officers had to see the experiments, how they were conducted, and what the Nazis did thereafter. I would leave the lecture halls sobbing at how awful mankind could become.
 
I do recall an intermissions in some longer films many years ago.

We usually think of the Nazis and say, "Well that's in the past. That's not going to happen again." But every war, no matter how pointless, is somehow different than the last war, or so we think and must be fought. Yeah, Hitler was a jerk, but we still have lots of jerks. It just takes one to get into a position of power.

That was a great movie, though.

I'm not sure about this new Nuremberg movie that's now playing at the theaters. It doesn't look very good -- at least not good enough to go to the theater to see it. I'll wait until I can stream it with one of my streaming services.
 
We went to see The Housemaid at the theater on Christmas Day. If you like good psychological thrillers in the vein of Fatal Attraction you will love it. It doesn't disappoint and the twist at the end is completely unexpected. Worth watching on streaming.

I'm so stressed out I can't focus on watching/concentrating, but mini-marathon of Tyler Perry movies on tubi.tv.. currently it's "I Can Do Bad All By Myself."

Yes, that's the name. I make a mistake there. Whatever the name tho, it was out of this world stupid. Cannot believe it received even one/half critical acclaim.
