Both are based on real events not just set during WWII. Eastwood made a 2nd movie revolving around the Battle for Iwo
Jima,told from Japanese POV. It was called Letters from Iwo Jima. Daughter and i watched both same day. Very good, but like you said difficult, emotionally, to watch.

I have Letters from Iwo Jima on DVD and have watched it several times. There are always at least two sides to every war.

Let us know what you thought. We saw it this past weekend. We were hesitant because we haven't followed the Mandalorian series but we thoroughly enjoyed it. That little Grogu stole the show!
