What was the worst thing you ever bought?

My worst purchase was a 1988 brand new Yugo. I had it about 6 months, and it spent about 4 months in the shop. The damn thing would be going down the road when it just died, and wouldn't start. It was towed so many times, that's where most of the milage came from.
What was your worst purchase?

A &*^%* Skoda.... that car was the worst thing ever made. Talk about a Friday 5 o'clock car ... this car must have been built at Midnight in the dark by blind fitters... this piece of Junk on the left....

1970 Opel Kadett, miserable, unreliable POS. It was in the shop more than on the road. It gave up the ghost on the Northbound 405 from Orange County...had enough momentum to roll off the freeway offramp and into a Ford dealership. Bought a 76 Maverick, was a good car, I didn't drive it much though, before I gave it to my going-to-be ex, as part of the property settlement.

A 1962 Chevy Corvair, a total lemon. In recent years, a Sleep Number bed, total waste of money. In recent weeks, a new swim suit; Huzz had finally starting making like he'd downsize, we looked at a nice condo complex which has a swimming pool, I bought a new swim suit since the old one no longer fit; a nice unit in the complex has become available; we went to the open house for it yesterday; he hated it; so now we're back to "I'm gonna have to be carried feet-first out of our house." (One step forward and ten back with him.) Oh, well, I might go swimming again some day.

The worst thing I ever bought was this bungalow. Nice location etc, but a bungalow without an upstairs just isn't me.
Coming up to 12 yrs later, and I still miss stairs.
The lack of climbing stairs umpteen times a day is showing itself now too. My legs protest when
I climb steps when they never did before.
Bah humbug.

A 1983 Chevrolet Celebrity. Nothing but a money pit in repairs.
I had that make & model. What a POS! I ended up calling "Customer Service" in Detroit at Chevrolet who advertised they were there to help with new vehicle purchase problems. Worst customer service I ever dealt with. I haven't ever bought another Chevy nor will I.

Mine stalled out on every time the engine got hot & was absolute nightmare to drive in summer. In winter the problem went away. I wouldn't even try to get on the interstate due to it stalling out when I gave it the gas to merge. One night driving home from work in the summer, the radiator hose busted & I nursed it to a gas station. The next day, my brother replaced the hose & the fried engine thermostat with one that ran at a lower temp. From that day on, no more stalling. Apparently the entire problem was that the engine was running too hot & the "mechanics" employed by the dealer weren't capable of figuring it out.

I'm sorry to hear that. I was just going to write my worst purchase was that house I bought. Since sold.

I hope however that you like the area and feel safe where you are.

I once bought an SKS rifle made in China. The trigger pull was horrendous, its balance was awkward, it was built from cheap castings and sheet metal stampings, it wasn't fun to shoot because of the trigger pull and it was ugly to look at. I sold it for $100 to an electrician I knew on my construction job.
