What was your last dream?

I woke up this morning after watching a Fighter Jet Plane fall out of the sky.
It did not fall straight down but almost floated like it was very light.
It fell on the other side of the house and exploded with a huge ball of fire. The house protected us from the shock wave.
Rang the emergency people, gave them the address, corner Willow and Fey St, Fremantle.
For some reason no neighbours came to look at the wreckage
Fire went out almost immediately. Truck and crane came and took the wreak away inside 1/2 hour.
There was no news reports of the incident

I am often awakened by dreams. But, in a split second I don't remember them. More the feeling I have in the moment stays with me. I can't really explain the sensation well. I am there, but I am not there. Sometimes the feeling is happy; sometimes sad; sometimes frightening; sometimes funny. I occasionally find myself laughing or giggling as I awake. Sometimes talking, too. But, to who and about what I can't recall. It is hard to explain it.

I woke up this morning dreaming about one of my teenage boyfriends. He passed away about 5 years ago. His sister was my best friend at that time and she was in the dream with me. In the dream we were not teens anymore. As a teen he was one of those gorgeous guys........in my dream he had aged due to drinking. His face looked tired and his eyes sad. He said he knew I loved him and he should have stuck with me.

After I woke up, I could not stop thinking about him. I had to look at his picture. I have his large graduation photo (his sister took it from their house and had given it to me and I still have it). I hope I dream about him again tonight! I can't wait to see what happens next.

Is this whole scene a dream? Or is it after you woke up from the dream? Not sure how to read this, especially the last line (it feels like it really happened).

I was helping to set up some sort of a buffet table. There was a batch of chicken wings that needed to be set out. It seemed like I had given all my serving dishes away. I ended up putting them in a stainless steel mixing bowl. No old boyfriends or anything else of interest.

Everything I wrote was describing the dream. :)
In that case, I would guess that the dream meant you felt safe inside your home. Another idea - Even though there was an explosion and it was taken care of easily, it could also be symbolic. The explosion could represent (angry) thoughts. You perceived the danger (plane falling/explosion) and yet you were probably surprised that the neighbors and news did not report the incident. Like it wasn't a big deal, as you thought it was.

Thank you for your thoughts. I do tend to catastrophise a lot. When in reality the event/s are no real problem and I usually handle them with aplomb.
