What were the Highlights of Your Summer

We went up to our cabin for a few weekends, and hiked and fished, did a little kayaking, star-gazed, and fed some cranes and deer.

My grandson came to spend several weekends at home with us, and he brought his ol' buddy, Jesse, a few times, too. I've known Jesse since he and my grandson were 8. They're 17 now.

I worked in my garden quite a bit, too, and kept the yards nice and healthy.

For us it was largely good gardens (decorative and veggies/fruit), get-togethers with friends, daughter's visit. DD helped pick the hundred pounds of blueberries we put in the freezer! But there were also several weeks when we were standing by & following the internet updates about possible need to evacuate our property due to local wildfire.

Our trip to D.C. was definitely the highlight. I really enjoyed that. :)

For as much crap that goes on there, it sure is a peaceful and relaxing place. So much to do and see.
Agree with you on Washington DC. I went, I don't remember 1994-ish. So much to see and so much I didn't see. I think I was there 4 days. Needed more. Glad you got to go.
