What will you be having for breakfast?

I did something yesterday I don't usually do when eating out .. went whole-hog - appetizer, dessert, fancy coffee after my substantial main.

Paid for it today with a bloated tummy. Very uncomfortable. I just had a bowl of cereal for dinner. It's all I can handle.

Lesson learned.

We usually have either:
Scrambled eggs with peppers, mushrooms, asparagus, or zuchini.
Soaked or rinsed oatmeal with dates, walnuts, milk.
Yogurt with fruit and granola.

We have other things sometimes but these are the normal rotation. Tomorrow will likely be oatmeal.

My new unique an interesting substitute for an "apple fritter". We make apple salad with apples, celery, nuts, and raisins, with some non-dairy mayo, pinch of salt and pinch of non-sugar sugar and cinnamon , all chopped finely in a blender. We keep it going for a few days. Anyway, if you like pork rinds, like I do ( Keto friendly ), and combine that with some apple salad, I swear it tastes like an apple fritter!! :)

Nice. Very imaginative. :)

Well, it's what I had. I treated myself to IHOP this morning, well partially. The full stack of buttermilk pancakes was on IHOP because I had earned more than enough Pancoins (for their Stack Market program). I ordered a side of scrambled eggs which were cooked so perfectly that I didn't need to add salt, pepper or anything. I asked for decaf but they only had regular coffee. I went shortly after they opened and only one server was there. She also seemed to have to help out in the kitchen. Since I cannot eat a lot at one sitting and since the eggs got cold fast, I brought half the breakfast home. I'll probably finish it Sunday morning.

Being in Australia I had to look up IHOP.
American multinational pancake house restaurant chain that specializes in American breakfast foods.
If I was to order from them I think I would like the Buttermilk biscuits with lashings of real butter and Vegemite.
American biscuits are the equivalent of Australian Scones.

Every 2nd day, I have 2 eggs for breakfast. I have Type II borderline diabetes. There's no way I could manage 2 eggs every morning.

Hi Pinky, you might want to talk to your family doctor about Dr. Walter Kempner's 'Fruit and Rice Diet.' It's time-tested (85 years) and proven to be very effective in treating Type 2 Diabetes.

On thursday I desired on chance to buy a pkt of m y favourite fish [ready cooked] - scottish kippers - 2 to a pkt. no real cooking required - they have already been well and truly smoked - so 3 mins in a microwave oven on high and that's it - you can add various condiments if you wish even a nob of butter - but it may spoil their unique flavor. So one today and one tomorrow maybe - even the dog shared in some of the left over skin etc. Care reqd to get every single scrap of fish even skin off and then that's it

The restaurant actually used to be known as International House Of Pancakes, then it got shortened to IHOP. A couple of years ago, they changed the name to IHOB and everyone thought that was just stupid, so they went back to IHOP. The time before last, I had their new menu item, the strawberries and cream biscuit. It was good but I prefer their pancakes. I used to get the strawberry-banana pancakes.

We were too busy today to have a real breakfast, a couple cups of Coffee had to make it till 2 PM ish and then a couple sticks of sharp cheddar cheese got us till 6 PM. So much spring yard work to slow down today with the clear sky climate + mid 70's pushing us on. Haha
Things smell so good in the home right now. Uh huh.
