What would you do if Social network sites no longer existed?

We hear about sites/internet being shut down in repressive countries.
If that suddenly happened in your country would it affect you in any way?
I came to the conclusion that no, why would it? It is simply a minor part of my life and I have plenty of other interests to occupy my life.

I'd revert back to going for long walks with my big club over my shoulder that I'd use to bonk a suitable lady over the head, then drag her back to my cave to cook the dinasaur fo my dinner.... or I might take up playing cards.

The way things are going here they probably wouldn't shut down. Instead they'd contain posts furthering the centrally-planned Message and anything I typed would be replaced by approved speech once I hit Send.

To be honest, I would really miss my online friends. I have many. But....it would not kill me. I would find other things to do. Hopefully, I would still have my computer and could still write and do pictures on it.

I'd do what we all did before computers and social media sites. Meet up at the cafe, the grocery store, the library, the mall, the hiking trail etc. This scare tactic won't work with our generation because we know how to survive. We had our own social areas.

I'd be very sad about losing people and the social aspect. But, like @chic said, we'd go back to the old ways of socializing. Some people however cannot, due to heath and/or distance.

Well maybe by then those Senior Centers will be ready for the next generation.

Oh I think I'd be a bit lost at first .... I don't mix with people very well in the real world so enjoy having online friends and having a laugh.
But, then I'd get back into all my hobbies which have got neglected over the years.

Nope, would not affect me at all. I don't socialize online except here and I have just joined. But I would be put off if I could not access the internet as I have purchased many art/crafts online classes.

If social networks no longer existed, I wouldn't have anyone to talk to other than my huzz, so I hope the networks keep going since I can't convince him to move to somewhere where there are people to talk to.

Me too and that's for sure! Social media has made me lazier.
