What would you do if you know you are dying?

If you know you're dying, it's probably from some awful disease that won't permit you to enjoy yourself because you're too sick. No parties, no trips, no vacations, no holidays, just you, fading away, hopefully not in too much pain. That's what happened to people I knew who found out they were dying. In no mood whatsoever to do those uplifting things. When you have loving visitors, hopefully you are up to seeing them and they're not too shocked when they see you.
That's called "Reality."

What would you do if you know you are dying?

Seeing as how it's another 126 years before I pop my clogs, there's no point in me thinking about it. Time I think, for a large 'snifter' or two. :)

About five years ago I got my financial affairs in order as much as possible without causing a lot of marital problems. I already did a Swedish death cleaning where I went through all my keepsakes and underwear drawers looking for things that no one else wants to see. I threw out several diaries that were boring even to me.

I know travel usually exhausts me so much I don't enjoy the new place as much as I would like. Most of my small family is with me all the time. I like my house and yard. I enjoy cooking and eat what I want.

The only thing I might do different would be buy a carton of cigarettes and flame up on the porch.
Living the dream.

Why don’t you do all this now !!
@charry I am doing all of it!!

But I’m also working fulltime, and for financial reasons relating to my disastrous previous marriage of 30+ years, I’m not able to retire for some time yet.

If I became terminal, I’d chuck work in a heartbeat!! And devote myself fulltime to my kinfolk! 💕

We’re planning a huge blowout party for April of 2023 for my 70’th birthday to replace the huge blowout wedding I didn’t have because of Covid. I have friends all over the world and I’ve already given them a heads up to clear their schedules for then! 🎉
