What would you do? topic below.

You've been strolling the beach at near sunset
and see no other person.

You see in close distance a suitcase just
laying in the sand.

Will you let it continue to lay in the sand?

What is your next move if you have one.

Just a scenario....
I'd check and see if there was any type of info in or on it that would show who it belonged to.
If so, I'd try to contact the person.
If not, I'd probably contact someone in the area that deals with lost & found.

Being I won't walk the beach without my phone,
I would take a pic from a distance of about maybe
25 feet. I'd not even go near the suitcase. Could be
a bomb inside. I'd remain curious from a distance
and probably go off to a nearby area and just
observe and watch, to see what the next person
might do.

Recently while walking I passed a semi-decent bike with a shopping bag and what looked like a purse inside it. When I returned later, everything was still there. I didn’t want to touch it. I reported it to the non-emergency police line. They called back later and said it was considered abandoned. By 5 pm the bike was gone and the empty bag was thrown on the ground.

There’s so much bike theft here, they can’t keep up. Maybe it wasn’t a semi-decent bike and they spotted another.

This is a long way for me to say, I wouldn’t touch the suitcase and would report it. It didn’t say if it’s a battered old bag or a Louis Vuitton.

that's interesting Jules!

For all we know it could be a setup,
and police are observing closely from
a distance...
You are a wise human being, Lady E, and a prosperous one I bet!
I'd be running over the sand to open it, check it out, and maybe take all that money home. But then I would remember that I'm trying to be a Good Person, so I would get myself out of the way of temptation.

You might want to make sure first whether it's a Louis Vuitton crocodile suitcase or just actually a cranky ol' croc all curled up, taking a nap.....

Ok, let's say a Police Officer has arrived.

What did he find out?
Not a lot ....

I had second thoughts and went back. It was empty but, I now have a lovely Louis Vuitton crocodile suitcase stashed away ... Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers, as my lovely nana used to say when she found the sweetie jar

did you check the inside pockets of the suitcase yet?
There could be diamond or sewn inside the lining!
