Aha! Milk gravy. That's what I call it, even when it's "country gravy" made with bacon, not sausage. I haven't heard anyone use that term in years.fried chicken, homemade mashed potatoes with an abundance of milk gravy

It is. You make milk gravy using bacon grease (not butter), and then I put bacon in it, too. I make it once a year and I'm in hog heaven the whole time I'm eating it. I put it over biscuits -- the Southern kind.Geesh if you put bacon in it you can call it anything you want lol….sounds wonderful!
