What's better store bought or homemade?

My wife used to make "boozeburgers" which were very good. Been a long time since we had them. Rum, Amaretto or whatever is on hand.
 

Just today we made canned 6 pints of turkey stock from the bones of the smoke bird the other day....
Believe I gained 5 lbs just from the smell
