Are you a 'hugger'?

I come from generations of huggers. No matter how often I see my kids and their families, it's hugs all around; hello hugs and goodbye hugs.

My oldest son's wife once asked him why, and he said "What do you mean?" She said, "You guys literally queue up for a hug. I don't know, it just seems kind of weird."

Now, she's first in line (whenever possible), and she's one of the most sincere huggers in the family.
 
My daughter's first husband came from a cold, undemonstrative family. We are a warm, hug-everyone-whether-you-know-them-or-not family.

At first, someone would hug him and he'd stand there like a lamp post, not knowing what to do. It took no time at all to see the hugging melting his reserves. He turned into a hugger.

He's still a hugger. And I still think of him as a son-in-law....but that's another story.
