What's for Christmas dinner?

Unless someone has covered this, let's talk about what food we are having on The Day.

Roast chicken, roast spuds (in goosefat), new spuds, sprouts, carrots, peas, Xmas pud with custard or cream, brandy cream, homemade apple pie, mince pies. Yule log and chocolates for teatime later. All very traditional tried and tested.
Just four of us round the table. Do you have small or large gatherings?

I have the Rennie's handy as I intend to overeat!

What's your menu and do you ever dare try out new recipes on Christmas day?

Oh my goodness, all three of these menus posted so far sound fabulous! As for me, we're having pizza. :giggle: šŸ•
*BUT* that's because we do the huge special meal on Christmas Eve. That will be Italian this year... Baked Cavatini, garlic bread, snow peas, and dessert. Some years it's ham & sweet potatoes, mac and cheese and dinner rolls with dessert.

I have not made my mind up... I have several available things..

Duck in orange sauce...
Roast beef...
Steamed duck buns with hoisin & Tangerine flavour...

Honey & mustard glaze Ham hocks..

and some other stuff... but as I'm on my own Christmas day, I'm just as likely to have a bacon sandwich, depends how I feel

I have not made up my mind ether. I do have Baileys and Cognac and will enjoy a special breakfast which means something other than my usual bowl of oatmeal.

After a big breakfast I probably won't want two more meals, so mid afternoon I will probably have something special depending on how I feel.

It'll be a surprise..

As DD has "taken over it the reins"

for holidays.

(And 'whatever'..she's a good cook)

Yaaah!...as I had done for many years.

Half roasted turkey with cranberry/orange and butter glaze. Broccoli florets steamed, roasted potatoes, fresh oven baked buns. Sage and onion stuffing and turkey gravy. Plenty of cranberry sauce.

Lambrini leftover punch...

I heard a while back that either China or Japan order KFC months before Christmas holidays. So, having Italian foods sound delish...

The usual

A fresh not frozen turkey
Seasoned stuffing
Mashed potatoes with sour cream
Cauliflower & broccoli with cheese sauce

Freshly made pudding cake with sauce plus a surprise item my husband has stashed away cause he knows I’m not mature enough to wait

I've decided on lamb chops, pilaf, and some cheese berag that I made in to a casserole form, cause I got tired of messing w/that phyllo dough and making individual berags. I bought a piece of paklava/baklava for dessert yesterday.

I'm eating it today...no reason to wait till Monday.

Christmas Eve, crab legs for hubby, lobster tail for me. Garlic butter roasted red potatoes. Rolls.
Christmas day, prime rib roast, baked potatoes, salad, rolls.
