What's for dinner ( or lunch )

Last night I was at book club - the host chooses a local restaurant and sends us a link to their menu. Last night I had this. It was very tasty and the dressing was especially good. I've gotten into Green Goddess dressing again. Remember when it was all the rage back in the 70s? Well, it's ba-ack!

Trader Joe sells a quite good GG dressing in their refrigerated section.

Now that sounds like my kind of salad!

I'm in the central valley of California. About 3-4 hrs north of you.
That's what I vaguely recalled but wanted to check. They restaurants are only in this area, sorry to say.

On the other hand, this would be simple to recreate at home with the specified ingredients along with TJ GG dressing. Since I don't eat meat, I'd make it a little heartier with some quinoa, brown rice or beans, and probably throw in some tomatoes.

I'm not generally a fan of radishes, but these were finely shredded, adding a small but nice kick.

You had a sandwich with bread and flavored potato chips? I'm probably misunderstanding what you're describing.
not sandwich with bread.. a slice of bread and butter with crisps as the filling....

I was going to have Tempura Prawns tonight but I realised I had to use some Baking Potatoes before they start sprouting.. so I had one with Egg Mayo in one side.. and Blue cheese in the other side... deelicious

Last night I had the Tempura Prawns... and chicken thighs

Today at lunchtime I had french toast....

Tonight for dinner I may have .... minced beef & sausages with veggies...

6pm PDT now. Usually just eat one main meal mid day without any breakfast. I mic'd a can of kidney beans with some cheese, salt, and milk for lunch. Now am eating a 5.3oz container of Trader Joe's Strawberry Greek yogurt with a couple spoonfuls of brown sugar mixed in.
Interesting. I eat a big breakfast, usually a vegetable stir fry (almost no oil) with some tofu and about 1/2 cup brown rice or quinoa stirred in. Lunch is often a big salad or large helping of hearty soup with beans in it. Dinner and snacks are much lighter - a few spoonfuls of overnight oats, fruit, a handful of mixed nuts, some unsalted pretzels, that kind of thing.

These days, I rarely eat a meal after 4 pm that's larger then a snack unless I'm meeting someone at a restaurant, am hosting dinner, or going to someone else's house.
