What's for your Thanksgiving meal ?

Probably pretty safe to assume that most folks that celebrate Thanksgiving with a big meal will be having turkey with all the trimmings and or ham....not at our house.

Again this year we'll be having Vietnamese cha gio.....ground pork, chopped shrimp, thread noodles and wood ear mushrooms rolled in dampened rice paper....traditionally served and eaten with leafy vegetables and herbs such as leaf lettuce, mint and basil and dipped in seasoned fish sauce.

Mama always makes plenty so if you're in the neighborhood around noon feel free to drop by for lunch.

Looks very nice. :)
We do something similar on Easter with Chinese takeout instead of the traditional ham.

ETA: Forgot to say what where having today. It's the standard: turkey, mashies with gravy, stuffing, corn, green bean casserole (with crunchy fried onions), croissants, cranberry sauce, pumpkin and cherry pies.
