Is this connected to his belief China's collapse is imminent? This guy has an interesting idea of what is causing the price of eggs and everything else to be skyrocketing. Peter Zeihan is a American geopolitical analyst. He has some interesting things to say concerning the state of the world and what to expect in the future. Joe Rogen did a podcast with him on 1/7/23. The episode is #1921. I found it very interesting and entertaining. If you have a Spotify account you can watch the podscast in it's entirety. If not you can find it segmented on youtube . I think it is definitely worth the time.

Bill Gates owns 275,000 acres of farmland out of a total of some 900 million acres of farmland in the US, so he owns less than 1/4000 of the total farmland in the US.And all the farm land is owned by Bill Gates He needs it. It is fun to leave sit and look at, so no one else can have any, I guess. Maybe Microsoft is going to build a new OS made of Weed or something. Here in the USA, we are so worse off than we were 2 years ago, it is sad.
Yep, old Gates will have to go some to catch up with to top 50 land owners. Granted, not all their land is farmland, but never the less.....Bill Gates owns 275,000 acres of farmland out of a total of some 900 million acres of farmland in the US, so he owns less than 1/4000 of the total farmland in the US.
And if you finish the story, he bought it so it would REMAIN farmland and leased it back to the original owners to farm. Not a bad thing, since we have enough cement and high rises taking over the land that grows our food.Bill Gates owns 275,000 acres of farmland out of a total of some 900 million acres of farmland in the US, so he owns less than 1/4000 of the total farmland in the US.
Bill Gates is not nearly as bad as many paint him to be. By my reckoning, he's he's turned into a fairly dedicated philanthropist. And if you finish the story, he bought it so it would REMAIN farmland and leased it back to the original owners to farm. It sounds crazier than it is. This strain of avian flu is nearly 100% fatal to domestic poultry and is highly contagious.According to a local egg farmer, one of the reasons prices are up is because if even one chicken on a farm tests positive for Avian Flu, or even if one is merely suspected of being sick, rather than quarantine the sick one as usual, farmers are ordered to destroy the entire flock.
The guy said that a farm that sells chicks, baby chickens, had to incinerate hundreds of them at a time, burn them alive, because one chick was positive. And some egg farms have thousands of chickens that they could be forced to cull if 1 tests positive.
That's crazy!
The farmer who told me about this (a crops farmer) said chicken farmers want to use quarantine and retesting before annihilating entire stocks because of 1 or even 2 positive tests; to at least give the farm a chance to survive. There are also a few peacock farms in that area (Jackson, CA) and they were just ordered to kill their flocks without any testing. Same with anyone with an aviary. It sounds crazier than it is. Allowing it to fester in poultry farms only continues the spread via wild birds who drop down to rest, grab a snack or whatever, then continue on their way. They get sick and pass it along to other farms they stop at - or poop on as they fly past.
Birds typically poop 20-50 times a day...
