What's happening with you now?

Let me know if it comes like the normal ice cream consistency. When I had an ice cream maker (decades ago), I had to put the cylinder in the freezer and the ice cream was "too frozen" and never the desired consistency.
Sorry, I am just seeing this! I actually tried two recipes. The first one got too frozen, but I broke it up and used the hand held mixer on it. It melted too fast while being eaten, though. Then I read that adding a bit of powdered tapioca will stabilize it, and also to put a sheet of waxed paper on top while freezing it, to prevent ice crystals.

Right now I am taking a break from kitchen chores. Going to put the chicken and burgers in the NuWave oven for supper. It is a very quiet day here today. I wrote a blog post but haven't published it yet since I need to find a couple more photos for it. I got a lot done today by not being on fakebook.
Fakebook. I like that! I took my account down years ago and never looked back.

I've been watching it some on Netflix. I'm having a hard time watching it because it's getting to be a lot like Breaking Bad. I liked Breaking bad and have watched the entire series about 5 times now. I guess I'm a little tired of all the crime happening. Maybe I'll fast forward to the finale part.

I'm watching a series on Prime now called Outlaws. I'm getting into it and so far it's not bad.
I just started watching it with my hubs; not sure if I like it or not. I couldn't finish Breaking Bad, it got too grim.

No problem. Thank you for responding. I read a recipe years ago about making ice cream in a zip lock bag but I never tried it. Right now the closest thing is when I make smoothies in my Magic Bullet and freeze them. If I'm going to eat it the same night I let it freeze for about 40 minutes. If, the next day, I have to let the container sit out for about 45 minutes to soften it up. Still nothing beats the consistency and taste of ice cream. The smoothie recipe is simple: Some partially thawed frozen mango chunks, 1/2 to 1 banana according to how much mango I use, whipped cream (or cream) and 5 packs of Splenda. Something similar to Wendy's frosty can be made with peanut butter, a banana, cream or whipped cream and Splenda.

That sounds delicious!

Working on trying to get Audacity to play MP3 files I have in my Amazon Cloud from CDs I have purchased. I have to get them in my computer first to put them on my MP3 player. I got it in there but haven't figured out how to make the sound come out the speakers on my computer. Everything else came out perfectly! I must be a nut or something not to figure this out.

I am currently sitting on my couch listening to The Eagles Greatest Hits whilst grating 1 of 3 soap bars required for DIY laundry detergent (added to other natural things) - made it before and it's really good and its lasted nearly a year...don't have much left so need to make more 🥳

Walking around on a cloud today. I had a very long list of tests last week to see if the cancer for which I was treated is still in remission .... and it is 😊. I did so many errands and chores today and yet I feel peaceful instead of feeling exhausted. My gratitude to God cannot be expressed in words.
Six months since I last posted and the news is still mostly very good. I am still in remission. I just had my semiannual scans and blood work and there was no sign of cancer. Fortunately, another issue (non-cancer) was found in one of the scans that would have otherwise gone undetected until it was even more severe so I feel very fortunate. My gratitude to God, the Blessed Mother and saints to whom I prayed (and will always continue to pray to) is unending.

Happy for you, Leann.
