What's making you feel old today?

this is really what's stopping me getting a little dog. Coincidentally DD and I were just talking about this very thing today.. I said the dog could outlive me.or I could get too sick to care for it etc... and she said this is the thing mum, you have to be fully committed... and helathy to be able to look after a young dog...
That was brought home to us a year or so ago when, my sister-in-law, who lived in East London, passed away suddenly. Her two cats now have a home with us, but it could just as easily have been the vet's syringe. My wife still mourns her beloved sister and the rescue of those cats brought home why pets, although good company, especially for those who live alone, must have a plan in place, just in case.

An older person needs to have a plan set up for everything. I've gotten everything written up.

there is nothing about getting older - we just need a handful of people who will love us!
At first we must love ourselves. I don't mean egotism. But there are many people who are too critical against themselves or as it is called "sometimes we are our worst enemies".

Standing in front of the mirror, I could criticize my sagging abdomen, my legs or that I don't have much hair on my head. But this is me, I just have only this body and I am glad that it is still working.

How can another person love somebody who is permanently criticizing him/herself?
