What's on your crusted pie?

It depends on the pie!

It’s funny that I enjoy pie with ice cream but was never a fan of cake with ice cream.

Whipped cream on pumpkin and pecan pies.

A slice of extra sharp cheddar cheese is nice with apple or mincemeat pies.

I prefer rhubarb and a few others without anything other than a second slice. 😉🤭😂

French vanilla ice cream on most things. Sometimes whipped cream. The one exception is pecan pie.

I can't remember the last time I had pie. Ten years ago?

But if I were to have a piece of pie today, I would include all of the above: caramel sauce, hot fudge, whipped cream, ice cream and some kind of nuts. With a cherry on top!

When I was still eating such things I'd make "pie parfait" using vanilla ice cream, graham cracker crumbs, and pie filling in layers. With apple I'd sometimes use cinnamon grahams to make the crumbs from.

No graham crackers? Heat some oatmeal, brown sugar, and butter. Stir well, cool, bust it up.
