What's the Difference?

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a chophouse and a steakhouse? Some friends of mine (all retired state troopers) decided to get a bunch of us that retired during the same year and have a sort of reunion at a chophouse. I asked the leader of this party what was the difference between a chophouse and a steakhouse. He told me "About $100.00." IOW, he didn't know.

"the difference between steakhouse and chophouse is that steakhouse is a restaurant that specializes in good cuts of meat, particularly steak, while chophouse is a restaurant that specializes in chops or steaks."

So, virtually no difference, imo. Except I don't remember ever ordering a pork chop at a steakhouse.
