What's the Last "Stupid" Thing You Did?

I was doing something and I said to myself "that's the stupidest thing I've done today!"

I was going to do laundry and I have 2 small containers in which I pour in one liquid detergent and the other fabric softener. I do this all the time and usually correctly. Tonight I inadvertently poured the liquid detergent and then the fabric softener---but in the same container! We are supposed to pour them into the parts of the washer marked detergent and fabric softener separately. I thought "what the heck am I doing?" So down the drain I poured the container and then did it over again but then the right way. Just another dumb thing I did.

So what's the last "stupid" thing you did?

I forgot my dentist's appointment today.

When I was working, my Outlook calendar alerted me to upcoming appointments and meetings. Now it is in only in my phone and the alerts aren't happening. I need to figure this out.

The thing I love about living in TX is that the people are so nice. Rather than admonishing me about missing my appointment, the receptionist said they were really concerned about me because I had missed my appointment. I felt like an idiot, but i rescheduled.

Well, these things will happen and it seems your alerts aren't working anyhow. I've never lived in TX but been through there once and they are very nice, yes!

Today I went over to my son's to give him a tweed coat I'd altered for him, and while I showed him that I'd dropped the cuff tabs down a few inches (had to lengthen the sleeves, for one thing) I noticed I'd left one of the seams open where the tab used to be.

Had to sit down and close that up by hand. "Real professional, Dad!"

Well nobody's perfect I always say..😁

Bought ear drops at pharmacy. Left it in the bag. Then I returned some eye drops to the store, forgetting that the ear drops were inside. So I left it in the store and wasted my money. All so to return the eye drops because I found them much cheaper elsewhere. I called the store, no luck. I mentioned this in another post here, got no answers. Clerk said that customers do this sometimes!

I do stupid stuff all the time, I used to be smarter when I was younger. My memory is shot, I can remember dumb stuff from long ago, and forget the newest stuff! Works out pretty good for the things we like on TV, after a year or so old stuff looks new to us.

If you miss an appt here, you are charged $25.00.

I do stupid stuff all the time too! It's OK! You can talk to yourself. Just don't answer yourself!
Hahaha!
Being silly is good! Shakes up your life!

Bought two packs of mushrooms on sale, Tuesday. Couldn’t remember why I needed two so both were consumed. Today I remembered they’re for tonight’s recipe and the sale is over. Wednesday in the morning I glanced at the green peppers but had no need to buy and didn’t pick up more mushrooms either. By the evening I realized that the peppers were essential for the chilli. I’m forever doing this lately.

i rolled the car window down while i cranked up the car-- wet to the drug store

i was going to the drug store to pick up a prescription
i was going to pick it up at the drive thru window
but the line was long it was getting kind of warm so i rolled down the window--i decided to go inside instead
i locked the door and went inside got the prescription
when i come out the window was down but the door was locked

At my husband's house, there is a parking lot and a driveway leading out. I haven't backed out of a driveway in 12.5 years.

So I kind of wiggle my car out of the driveway, and I always feel stupid doing it. I've only driven 2 miles each trip about 5 times in over a year, so that doesn't help either. But how could I not be able to drive straight out of my driveway????

The most stupid thing I have ever done is not realize I was parked in neutral in the parking lot at my husband's office. So we called a tow truck since the car wouldn't move. My husband did not look at the car, so he didn't know it was in neutral. After that, I noticed the car dealer always only talked to my husband about car problems. That didn't bother me, as my husband was always in charge of maintaining the cars.
