What's the nicest thing your significant other did for you?

This will always stick out as the most memorable.
At one time I worked at a car dealership in the parts department. The only other woman in the place was the bookkeeper. I was surrounded by testosterone and felt like I had to prove myself every day. I finally started to get the respect of the mechanics that I knew my job and became more comfortable. Then one day the owner walked through (I had only seen him a few times) and said something to me that was real nasty and uncalled for and I was shattered. I went home and started crying while telling my husband what happened.

The next day my husband went into the dealership and cornered my boss (not the owner) and raked him up one side and down the other for getting me so upset. Long story short, my boss ended up apologizing to me for the owners comments and thereafter I was treated with a lot more consideration.

I never asked my husband to do that, but I was really moved by him having my back like that. I could have gotten fired of course, but luckily it didn't work out that way. 🙄

My partner had a ribbon-cutting ceremony at his re-launched store and invited me to attend. I met his staff and got to hear all the nice things the board of his non-profit organization said about him. I mentioned it in another thread and it was truly special. He kept thanking me for attending but I wouldn't have missed it.

He drove me back and forth for months to an eye specialist for numerous surgeries 4 hours there and 4 hours back and never once complained about it.He never complains about anything, such a great disposition.
My husband did that too! Not for months, but 4 times, and not a complaint from him. Plus he had to drive me everywhere afterwards for a month.

Glad I started this thread. Makes me remember all the great things he does!

I'll cite one instance that was at the beginning of our marriage. Since then the list would be really really long.
1. 1st. married my bride had a limited English vocabulary. We were stationed at Lakehurst Naval Air Station. Poor doesn't begin to describe our beginning. With no experience my bride didn't complain, she applied for & got a job at a diner that was only a block away from the 8X35 trailer we lived in off base.

The money she made helped us establish a good beginning. That set the pattern for the way we've always combined whatever money was made.

I'm thrilled that Michelle insisted I marry her. I'm not suggesting I think I'm this perfect specimen of manhood, it's just, I kept telling her I'm way too old for her. But she kept saying I'm not, and I gave up the debate.

And I'm not saying she was right about the age gap - it's a wide one - but I never imagined I could be this happy at this stage of my life. And she's smiling a lot so, if that's any indication, she's pretty happy about it too.

My husband has done so many sweet memorable things that I can’t possibly pick my favourite one. He carves little hearts 💕 made from different materials. Acrylic, wood, stone, glue. They are all special treasures.
When I was in hospital he showed up whenever he could. It was hours away.
