What's the oldest age

You might find your family genealogy interesting.

Thanks for the suggestion. I knew all the relatives, even though we didn't see each other often - I just could not recall the ages they were at death. Some of the more recent ones are recorded in my daily journals.

A great grandmother and a great aunt both made it to their late nineties…not sure of their exact age.
But it meant I knew someone who was born in the 19th century

My dad was 31 and my mom was 30 when they were killed. I have no siblings. My dad’s oldest brother, who was a chain smoker, died at 54. My dad’s youngest brother is still kicking at 89. I think I got this right. I disconnected from my family years ago.

What's the oldest age someone in your family has lived to?

My Aunt Evelyn (my Dad's sister), she lived to be 101½. She passed away at the nursing home where I work, on April 6. 2021. I found her in her room, shortly after she passed away. She was the 2nd family member I found dead. The first was my mother on October 9, 1998.

Funny thing is, during Covid, a lot of the younger residents and staff (including me), caught Covid. But she never did, despite her age. Some people in the family have referred to her as "a tough old bird".

Oldest person in Texas, and the third oldest living person in the World, died last October in Houston, at age 115.
She was being taken care of by her granddaughter at home.
