What's the worst movie you ever saw?

In general, I think special effects have replaced good script writing for many movies. I thought the latest Jurassic Park movie (Jurassic World Dominion) was such. Very long with a confusing and disjointed story line laced with unending dinosaur attacks. If not for others watching, I would have left early. But the “big biotech” storyline could have worked well to make a thought-provoking movie, if a little effort had been made.

I agree. Seems most movies are aimed at an audience of gamers, know what I mean? Seems movie producers' only interest is to produce "block-busters" instead of stories, worlds, or (above all) living literature.
 
once on a dare trying to pick a horrible movie .... I found.......... Killer clowns from outer space and yes it was as bad as the name

It's easier to name many movies I didn't like, but the worst is more than I can process. As for Deadpool, I've seen worse, but for me it was the low point in the pre-Disney Marvel Universe, and I am a big fan of the Marvel Universe, which has impressed me more than any other Hollywood phenomenon in my lifetime. Although, since Stan Lee died, and Marvel sold out to Disney, Marvel appears to be sinking fast. Disney makes good movies, but they don't seem to be able to duplicate the writing or creativity of Marvel.

Deadpool went over very well with critics and audiences, and I think Ryan Reynolds is one of the most talented people in Hollywood right now. I thought the movie was stupid. I didn't even bother to see the second one.
 
Almost everything since 1950. That's why I belong to a classic movie forum where we watch old black and white films from the 1930s an 40s together with an occasional silent thrown in.

Once in a while I go to Tubi and watch something. The other night I went there and watched, "Savage Grace," because it had Julianne Moore in it and I liked her. Now I wont be able to watch her in anything else in the future and I'll need therapy to get some of the scenes wiped from my brain.

Yes, "Savage Grace," gets Worst Ever prize from me.

We thought the movie was great. A refreshingly different Marvel Movie with its humor. I find most marvel movies too serious for movies based on comics and wish they would lighten up! :) I know you have to have villains, just knock them out quickly as they come at you and then have some cartoonish fun!

And I can't think of a worst movie other than the one I mentioned earlier: How green was my valley! (Oscar winner!)

I watch Svengoolie every Saturday night(yes, my tastes are questionable). If the show is just too unbearable(like last Saturday- The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, then I'll tune in to Nightmare Theater on KVCR. Yea, it's just as dumb as Svengoolie but at least is a change of pace.

EDIT: about the "worst movie" I ever saw, I think I mentioned in a recent worst movie thread that Waterworld, with Kevin Costner was boring, couldn't take more than about 30 minutes, yanked it out of the VCR and put in Striptease, with Demi Moore. Much better. ;)

...back in the '70s, went to the movie theater and watched Encounters of the Third Kind, was OK. But the 2nd movie was The Verdict, which Rotten Tomatoes give an 89% rating. I don't remember why I didn't care for the movie, but I do remember thinking it could have been better.

The book was very good, I loved Arthur C Clarke years ago, as I love science fiction. I vaguely remember the movie.

The Shape of Water was the worst most ridiculous movie ever.
Three Billboards was another. Each time I went with a friend so couldn't leave the cinema.

To me, the movie was very forgettable. I found it boring, yet most critics loved it. They even call it a "classic" now! I, too, love Arthur C. Clarke and Asimov and Silverberg and Heinlein and, more recently David Weber!

2001 was very good when it came out. Yes, OK, I was stoned when I saw it. At that time, it captured the silence of outer space very well, I thought, but the movie didn't age well for some reason. It was long and sometimes slow but the fight between the lone astronaut and Hal, I think most people would agree was a high point. I never did understand the ending. I've heard interpretations of it, but it still didn't make sense to me.

Both of those films were hyped way too much. I went expecting better. I thought they were watchable, but I was very disappointed after the big buildup they were given.
