When did it dawn on you that you weren't 18 anymore?

When I dislocated my knee and tore the meniscus a few years back. I did the same thing when I was 16 and bounced back in a matter of weeks.
This time around it took several rounds of physical and its still not right.

I tore the meniscus in my knee about 10 years ago playing tennis and it's still not back to normal. It hurts like hell sometimes and occasionally, it gives out on me. I haven't fallen yet, but I've stumbled several times and nearly fell. It's going to take an operation to get it back to "normal."

That wouldn't have happened in my younger days when I could fall off a cliff and just brush myself off and go about my business.

Picture the scene.....a few years ago, one Sunday morning while doing the ironing, Jerry Lee Lewis had a “Whole lotta shakin goin on” my daughter dropped by, I pretended the ironing board was a piano, singing along with Jerry, daughter screamed with laughter as I threw my leg up onto the ironing board, ‘playing’ with my foot, .......

I screamed with pain as I pulled a muscle in my hip.....never been the same since and realised then, I’m not 18 anymore, these days, the ironing board is strictly for ironing.
