When do you bathe?

Have only taken showers for years.... Can't get in and out of tub.Showers are cleaner feeling anyway. Shower every other day of morning. More often in summer and depending on what I have been doing.

When I had this cookie-cutter house built in 2005, I had options for my two bathrooms. I opted to have a walk-in shower for my master bedroom and a tub in the hall bathroom. I had always dreamed of soaking in a bubble bath in the tub and then showering to get rid of all the bubbles. It never worked that way. Showers are so much faster, use less water, and somehow I feel cleaner after a shower. Still, I'm glad I have the option if I want it. AND, showers are safer when you get older and have trouble climbing into a tub.

I shower in the evening. I've noticed if I've been cooking a lot during the day especially with onions or garlic my hair and clothes smell like a cafeteria then I'll shower before dinner.
During the summer I shower right after working outside I hate that sweaty, grimy feeling.

I didn't add it to my original post, but in the warmer months I'll often shower twice. Most of my work is indoors in air conditioning, my car's air conditioned, and so is the house, so I don't feel the heat much. But if it's the weekend and I've been working outside in the garden or doing a lot of errands where I'm in and out of the car, playing with the grands outside etc., I will always shower again when I think I'm done with the outside stuff. It's humid here and there's just nothing worse than that sticky feeling that goes along with humidity. :(

Every night before getting in bed. Shower only since my poor old knees won't allow getting into or out of a tub.

Nothing like a nice hot shower in the morning. However, I may start taking a shower at night before bed and in the morning. Hubby works different hours therefore he showers twice a day. We have our own bathroom and I love it.

During the Queen Victoria time people seldom bathed, no indoor plumbing and lots of trouble bringing all that water inside the house and heating it and using wood needed for cooking instead. Queen Victoria started a new trend by "bathing once a month, whether she needed it or not".
I cannot imagine bathing once a month...YIKES!!! My body would be like.. I think we are missing an important hygiene moment:ROFLMAO:

Well, back then everybody smelled bad, so people didn't notice. It was a hassle to bring many gallons of water inside the house, heat it with wood you'd rather use for cooking, and then have to get rid of the dirty water. Victoria could do it, she had many servants and lots of money.

That's why you hear sayings like, "Don't throw out the baby with the bath water". The man of the house bathed first, then the wife, then the children, and last the poor baby when the water was totally filthy.

That's why brides wore flowers, to mask the body smells.

Travelers knew when they were nearing cities, they could smell them.

People threw out dirty water and chamberpot contents on the streets and people were lucky to duck in time.

Do you prefer to take your bath or shower in the morning or evening?

I much prefer to take mine in the morning before I leave for work. Ron takes his after he gets home from work, because working construction he mostly comes home dusty and needing to get cleaned up before dinner. Makes things easy so we’re not both fighting for the bathroom in the mornings when we’re both trying to get ready for work.

What about you?
Since I work in food service I usually come home smelling less than fresh. LOL! So, I shower @ night.

Morning shower before breakfast, sometimes more in the summer months, and freshen up each night before bed
