When gallstones attack

Big mistake today. Had a good feed of delicious pistaccio nuts. About 8 hours later, my gallstones playing up big time.
Just waiting for them to move. Been a couple of hours now but, just now, got some relief. Not out of the woods though, they quite often block the bile duct again before they finally settle down.
I didn't think when I ate the nuts, they are 50% fat, should have just a couple. Stupid me.

I know that pain very well it's agonizing. I had my gallbladder removed about 7 years ago...''dozens of stones in the duct''.... I hope you get some relief soon

When my dad had his gall bladder removed, I asked his doctor what causes gallstones. He said they are mostly made of calcified cholesterol. Although nuts are high in fat, they have no cholesterol & the fat is supposed to be a "healthy" fat. Cholesterol is only found in animal foods - meat & dairy. No plant-based foods have any cholesterol. I don't know if pistachio nuts can aggravate gall bladder problems.

I had an attack of gallstones back in the 80's and in the middle of the night and the pain was excruciating and we called the Doctor out. Cant recall but the pain went after a while so may have passed through as they can do
