That's wonderful that you have a "jokingly, fun relationship" with your daughters. I have the same kind of relationship with my son. I consider it a blessing and it sure makes for happy times.

Because I’m around younger people so frequently, I will tend to pick up some of their words or phrases. And then I use them unthinkingly, they just become part of my lexicon. The other day I was telling a d Tory about one od my clients, and I said something about “she got so mad she yeeted the thing across the room!”
My comment was (goodnaturedly) met with groans and eye rolls even though I used the term in a way that was contextually correct. When I pointed that out, all I got were variations of “it just doesn’t sound right coming from a Boomer!”
NOTE:Yeet is a slang word that functions broadly with the meaning “to throw,” but is especially used to emphasize forcefulness and a lack of concern for the thing being thrown. (You don't yeet something if you're worried that it might break.)
