When searching for a particular thread nothing comes up

Also, if you can remember which forum (for ex., Entertainment, Days Gone By, etc.) it was started in, you can search through it pretty quickly.

As someone using computers since the earliest era, same elsewhere on the web also. And searching on why never explains anything useful. Would be enlightening to software debug actual coded routines. I'd bet it is an embarrassing subject programmers just don't want to publicize.

Can be very annoying to advanced users. Actual web search algorithms are not as simple as one might expect. Over years, many times I've positively used correct syntax without hits. Not simply about hidden non-text characters. Then put my cursor right on top of the search term within a document and found it suddenly begins to accept whatever.

I put "cows" in the search and then looked for the names of the threads that came up... it was the 4th or 5th one down the list. @Bretrick

I have found stuff in the past, on the Web which no longer show up anywhere.
Must be still somewhere, but the search comes up empty.

I done the same just now - cows - came up 14th on the list, but The Cow Thread does not work.
