It's not backing away. It's turning my back and walking away. Giving it no credence. For me that says it all. It's the perfect, "F U."I think most of us do most of the time, and I know it can wind folks up better than reacting to their bad behaviour very often, but, (there's always a "BUT" isn't there!), spending all your life backing away from all conflict isn't a recipee for a happy life either is it(?).![]()
Ahhhh, I'm with you now! It's not backing away. It's turning my back and walking away. Giving it no credence. For me that says it all. It's the perfect, "F U."
Nuanced response, perhaps the first on the thread(?).“When someone is mean don’t listen”… No, I disagree … you should listen because within that meanness, you may find some home truths about yourself. That does not mean you should be bosum buddies with that person.
When someone is rude walk away,.. again, No do not walk away. Let the person know that they are being rude otherwise they are going to continue the same behaviour forever …then walk away!
