Researching my Genealogy has become my passion and it has been very rewarding in as much as 'finding' grandparents and beyond, people I had never known about.
While focusing on my Grandmother and her extended family from Guernsey, she was a very private person so I felt a bit sneaky when I read about the skeleton that had been in her closet all her life. I knew she would not have approved, as she would say, 'leave well enough alone'. My first thoughts were to stop reading about it all, but the pull of wanting to know all about them was stronger than having to explain myself maybe in a later life.
(I am not judgemental so I knew nothing I read would change my opinion of them).
Anyway, I was sitting at my laptop enthralled about what I was reading when I felt a tug on the back of my collar, I didn't take much notice until it happened again, this time it was stronger, I whipped my head around to see who had come into the room without me knowing. There was no one there. I felt a bit unnerved because I knew I hadn't imagined it. I felt obliged to say to Grandma, I felt sure that is who it would be, 'it's ok, I am wanting to know about you all for the right reason."
Has anyone else experienced these unexplained happenings,? it sure unnerved me for a few days.

I have had many of them. I am more often comforted and/or amused by them, not unnerved.

Happens on occasion when I feel a sudden motion of air pass me while I am reading in bed. Or, I duck because my peripheral vision catches a swiping motion toward me. I pause and wonder at such things, but put them away for I don't know the answer.
This happens to me on a regular basis, Lew, especially after eating brussel sprouts.... 😊
No, seriously, there are so many strange, unexplained things happening in my life, the abnormal has become normal. 😊

My late half-brother's wife has these experiences. Mostly, from her late mother. It has been going on for a long time, and is normal/natural for her. I think of it as a beautiful gift.

To have felt such a strong tug at my collar while thinking of how Grandmother would react to my 'prying' was unnerving, probably because I half expected she would show herself in the room. 😃

Many years ago I was going through some awful times.. and I was missing my mum very much.. I;d been studying the works of a well known British Medium, watching her on TV reading her books etc..

One night I;d been reading her latest book, and she said , you don't have to attend a seance to be open to be in touch with a past loved one.. if you really , really want that person to be with you, you just have to think hard and ask... and you will get a sign

I was alone in the house.. it was night time, it was deadly quiet ,I was sitting on the floor with just the table lamps on... and at the side of the livingroom was the cylinder hoover where I'd left it earlier..

So I followed the instructions in the book, and I asked for my mum to give me a sign... and I nearly jumped out of my skin with fright when the cylinder hoover flipped over...:oops: I don't know what I was expecting but I clearly wasn't ready for it.. and I shouted '' Mum if that's you, please stop''.. ..and nothing else happened after that..

.. but to this day whenever I'm facing difficult situations.. tiny white feathers appear in my garden, as if to say ''I've got your back''..

People are mostly unaware that you can communicate with anyone, living or dead through either writing to them or through thought.
Deceased parents often come to earth to check on their children.
If you want to tell a deceased soul something, call them to you and speak aloud to them.
They will come. They will hear you and they will understand.

Spirits are NOT angels. They are deceased souls.

They may not show themselves because the sight of them might cause fear in you, but you may hear their voice or "feel" them with you.
If you ever see them, don't be afraid. You may not be able to feel the love they are sending you because of the sadness in the earth's atmosphere, but know they cherish you.

I woke up at the exact time my grandfather died. Twenty years later I woke up at the exact time my brother died. Those were younger days when I normally slept through the night.

One time when standing at the stove cooking I kept feeling something pull on the back of my sweater. I thought the cat had jumped up on the counter and was hooking my sweater with a claw, but she was not there. It happened twice. A week or so later I was cooking at that same stove and when I hit a spoon on the side of the pan an electric shock and explosion went off blowing a fuse. I still believe someone was trying to warn me about that stove.

I have had a couple of other instances of things like this. I can't explain them or control them, but I know they were real. I feel like someone is watching over me and protecting me.

Yes, They were real. Yes, Someone is watching over you and protecting you.
You're heeding this and you're being aware is wonderful!

When The Mysterious And Inexplicable Happens.

Walking home from the pub along a gravel pathway, I thought I heard someone walking behind me.
I turned around and no-one was there, but I could swear that I heard another set of feet on the gravel.
Some of you maybe thinking, "You daft old beggar, you've had a pint too many, or, you've got a ton of wax in your ears creating havoc."
Well, let me tell you, I was quite sober and only staggered a teenie-weenie bit, and I regularly shovel the wax out of my ear-holes, so there. 😊

I sense that you are a very funny man.:)

I think I wrote about this in another thread. When I was a child, I'd suddenly think of someone my father had mentioned previously, perhaps a friend from long ago, who lived far away. Then it would turn out that the person had just died.

As an adult, I get the same sudden thought about people I've known. Not even people who were important to me; for example, a woman I worked with for one summer 40 years ago. Same thing -- they died that day, or their funeral was that day.

I would feel so strange if something like this happened to me! Although there was one time someone shouted my name on an empty road. Nothing happened (it wasn't a warning for traffic or anything) but it was a woman's voice and loud enough for me to stop and turn around looking to see who had called on me. Very weird. I also see white feathers drop from nowhere at my feet, and always keep them.

Ghostbusters!
If there's something strange in your neighborhood
Who you gonna call?
Ghostbusters!

If there's something weird and it don't look good
Who you gonna call?
Ghostbusters!

I ain't afraid of no ghost
I ain't afraid of no ghost
If you're seeing things running through your head
Who can you call?
Ghostbusters!

(It's gettin' close to Halloween time, kiddies!)
