The term LOL is used all the time now. I use it a lot but in truth I don't laugh out loud much. However the other night I was watching and episode of the original Bob Newhart show and there was a scene between Bob and his patient Mr. Carlin that drove me to tears from laughing so hard. Tried to find the clip but couldn't find it online. It had been awhile that I had laughed so hard though. So when was the last time you truly laughed out loud and what caused it ? Something a family member or friend said ? Something you saw on a TV show or in a movie ? Something you read ? Shopping at Walmart ?

Talking to my sister on the phone. She and I have so many laughs, my sides hurt when I hang up. She lives 800 miles away so we only see each other a couple of times a year, but oh, the laughter.

That's great that you have that type of relationship with your sister :)

The last time I laughed out loud was when I was watching an episode of "Mom". But I can't remember now what it was that was so funny that time. It is really funny though most of the time. I don't usually laugh like that with other sitcoms. My belly type laughs was usually with my mom. It's making me start to laugh right now just thinking about it.

Was it by chance the episode where they were all riding the "spring" horses at the park late at night? I laughed really hard at that one!

I'm re-reading all of Kurt Vonnegut's books. I often laugh out loud at Vonnegut.

It's been a long time since I have read his books. Might have to go back and read them again. It would be interesting to read them from a different age perspective.

It is a very different experience. I believe I'm enjoying them even more now.

I get offers from a number of ebook sellers and lately some of them have offered some Vonneguts at reduced prices. Every time I get one of those offers, I grab it with both hands.

Vonnegut; another author I didn't read while just about everyone else did, back in college...and another one I just put on my list for the used book store. Or maybe the library, huh?

Last night on TBS I was watching repeat of'Big Bang Theory',had not seen it before. Sheldon&Amy visit his mother to tell her they are now living together. It was hysterical.I love Laurie Metcalf who plays Sheldon's mom, also Christine Barnaski who plays Leonard's mom. There have been a couple of episodes during the show's run when these two have appeared in the same episode, always funny. Sue

A couple of days ago.. I told my husband something, and he was so grossed out by it and the look of horror on his face , made me start laughing so hard I couldn't stop, the tears were running down my cheeks and I was giving myself a belly ache laughing so hard ..even the next day when he wasn't here , and I was recalling it in my mind I started laughing again..

i have a daughter and grandson that keeps me laughing---have you ever been out in a store and thought of something really funny and you try not to laugh --people look at you like you got a problem--o well

My son makes me laugh all the time. Recently we bought a new washer. The old one had a bit of life left in it and the hubby gave it to someone before the new one arrived. My son heard about this and said that was risky, what if the new one doesn't work? He said to wash Dads clothes twice so they last an extra week.

I usually make a fool of myself in the greeting card aisle. Some of those cards are so funny I do "LOL"!! So yeah, I get a few looks but I guess some people just aren't used to hearing laughter.
