It all counts as something new. It's when you're not prepared to step out of your lane , even for a short time, is when you become oldI guess I'm officially an old fuddy duddy. I can't think of anything I recently did that was something new.
The only thing was, at times, I like a peanut butter sandwich, and I changed from 'smooth' to 'chunky' peanut butter.
Yes, that's life in the fast lane, but you only live once.
Frank was that the actual last time you did something new ?.. c'mon you must have done something new since than..surely.. even small...Got married just a few years ago, after being single for over 40 years.
I can't think of anything I've done since then that tops that.
It isn't that small...or, so I'm told.Frank was that the actual last time you did something new ?.. c'mon you must have done something new since than..surely.. even small...![]()
yes those things are pretty major...It isn't that small...or, so I'm told.
Well, there's the foster-parent license, but that was back in 2019 .... OH! I bought a house for the first time ever. Think it's been about a year ago now.
Other than that, pretty much the same ol' stuff, I guess.
wow! what a ride, I'd have loved that. Not the same but a tiny feel of what you experienced was when we had the stronger dog in our pack pull our scooters downhill for exercise .. years ago...One thing with the last couple weeks is learning to set up & use bookkeeping software called QuciBooks. I got it to manage member data & money/payouts for our river conservation/restoration group.
I think maybe one of the biggest "new things" I ever learned was to drive a dogsled that someone had brought from the 'way north' down to my region. There was a good layer of snow on the ground. I thought this'll go well, because the owner will hold the reins in front of me while I get my first ride... like someone sitting behind the motorcycle rider. Nooo... He stuck the reins in my hands and off the dogs went!
I thought about one of those, even browsed through some on Amazon. Do they only detect metal that has an iron content, using magnetism?Something else new to me is metal detecting. Purchased a detector two weeks ago and have been practicing around my house, so far I have found old metal farm stuff and little trashy bits of metal, sadly no gold or silver.(sigh)
Twenty five or so years ago my kids took their Furby toys (remember them?) and buried them in the woods behind our house because they were "freaking us out". My goal with my new detector is to find the Furbies old decayed bodies and return them to my children. Sounds like a horror movie right?
