Where did all my stuff come from?

I was looking around at my place. I dawned on me that when I moved in, it was completely empty. I carted all this stuff in. When you think of it, I dragged in thousands of things. Now, I have to jam stuff into crammed closets.
Where did all my stuff come from? Was it really needed? What do I do with it?

Maybe it's time to start the dreaded downsizing thing. I've been slowly getting rid of things that no longer mean anything to me or I'm setting things in the basement that will go in my yard sale this summer. I do a little at a time so I don't feel overwhelmed.

Massive yard sale at Fuzzy's house... I'm there! :giggle: For my serious answer, a former neighbor had this issue... she was in her 70s and didn't know what to do... finally contacted a local vintage/antique mall and they came and took stuff away to sell for her. Well... not sure if they managed her section of the store or if she had someone do it for her, but in any case, she was thrilled with her percentage of the sales.

There is a nice non-profit thrift shop about 8 minutes from my condo. They have taken many things off our hands. We bought the condo from the estate of a lady that passed away at age 102. Since my wife passed away more than a year ago we have given them many of her things.
I still have a ton of pictures to deal with.
