yes that's true but if their moving around due to the military they're not getting to see these countries in the same way as if you're a visitor or have lived there as a residentI was born and raised in NY. I notice that men seem to get around much more than women do, probably bc of the military.

We used to camp there in the '70s. It was spectacular to watch the blowhole spout, the kids would be all over the rocks right there.Currently in Forida, by way of Arkansas, California, New Jersey, Vermont, and NYC.
Speaking of Mexico... did you happen to make it to La Bufadora? (the blowhole)
A marine geyser located on the Punta Banda Peninsula below Ensenada, Mexico. It is considered one of the largest blowholes in North America, famous for shooting seawater high into the air.
