Updated Major Hurricane Drought Figure

2,878 days. The US major hurricane drought continues. This length of time is almost exactly twice as long as the previous "drought" since 1915 (which was 1975-1979).

Of course, it could end this month or after, but it will end sometime. Whenever it does, it has been remarkable.

So what's the stats on ours DB? We're around 40 years into a 33 year cycle too, where'd ours go?
Qld still gets the odd one but this part of the coast used to get hammered a couple of times a year back in the 50's to late 70s. But lately, just 2 woosy ones in 3 years.

Living within easy driving distance of the east coast, I'm afraid to talk about it -- scared I'll jinx it! And know we're way overdue!
