I know admin frowns on these type of threads but Rob hasn't posted since August, after posting most days.. anyone in touch with him, is he ok ?
Really ?..I don't remember that... perhaps he was just trying to get away from us... poor Rob..lolLast I heard, he was moving...if I remember right. Out of the country, I think. Or someplace far, anyway.
oh I thought I read August...oh well that's not quite so bad...Last seen Sep 19, 2023
Last seen Sep 4, 2023While you’re looking for him, maybe you will run into Gaer. I haven heard any angel stories in a while.
You made it sound like I don't care about missing members.I know admin frowns on these type of threads but Rob hasn't posted since August, after posting most days.. anyone in touch with him, is he ok ?
LOL...no I never meant you don't care about members...I know you love us all...You made it sound like I don't care about missing members. Some members post such threads before doing any homework, they ask about a member whose "last seen" is today or keep asking where a banned member is. As a result, we were looking for "missing members" all the time, and no one would take such threads seriously.
We should at least try to contact the missing member and wait a couple of days before starting a missing thread. Not everyone enjoys this kind of attention.
I don't remember that either.Really ?..I don't remember that... perhaps he was just trying to get away from us... poor Rob..lol
Please no-one add anyone else to this list.. it was just me wondering where Rob is... we don't want a whole list of missing members posted here... thanks![]()
If someone "knows something" about what's going on with a member, it doesn't mean they posted the issues for all the world to see. Often private matters like that are shared in PM or emails and have to be handled discreetly.I don't remember that either.
You made a good point. If someone left the forum and doesn't reply to my private message, I would assume the worst.I personally feel threads like this should 'not' be posted. Members deserve
privacy, and if they chose to post updated info on their own, so be it.
I haven't assumed the worst. Far from it.. just slightly concerned that a member who regularly posts hasn't for many weeks. ..The first thing I always think is not illness, but technology problems ..then illness..There could be many reasons for not posting, imo.
I would not assume the worst.
- Perhaps the person in question, has been traveling.
- Perhaps the person is not feeling too "peachy" and is maybe awaiting surgery.
- Perhaps they have other things on their mind.
Considering most members are aged somewhere between 60 and 80, I don't think it's unreasonable to assume the worst. There could be many reasons for not posting, imo.

I wouldn't assume the worst either, Harry. There have been a few times that I worried over someone's absence and wrote getting answers *every time* that all was fine and they're just taking some time away for personal reasons. I've also heard second-hand that some meanness/bullying may go on [rarely, hopefully!] behind the scenes. @Harry Le HermitThere could be many reasons for not posting, imo.

Other reasons for traveling, might be fishing in Florida and Louisana for a couple of weeksI haven't assumed the worst. yes but whenever Rob is going on a fishing trip he always tells us...Other reasons for traveling, might be fishing in Florida and Louisana for a couple of weeks
